By far, the best approach is to build your own Challenger so you are familiar with all her parts and can do your own maintenance with the knowledge that comes with building.  So, for most folks, we recommend that they build their Challengers.  But, if you if you don't have time, or don't want to, we have other options available:

1. Custom-built: We can arrange to have your kit shipped to and custom built for you by any of a number of professional Challenger builders in western Canada.  We work with you and an authorized builder to complete the Challenger to your  requirements, have it inspected and test flown by a factory authorized inspector, and arrange for the registration of the aircraft in your name.  We are finding that typical custom-build costs are ranging from $10,000 to $15,000 or more depending on the number of accessories and complexity of paint finish desired.  Custom-built Challengers qualify for financing once completed. 
    
2. Pre-Builts: ChallengerWest will be offering a select number of new, limited edition, pre-built Challengers each year.  These Challengers will be professionally built, beautifully finished, and fully optioned and equipped.  Pre-built prices are available on request from qualified buyers.  These planes will feature ChallengerWest custom paint schemes in one of three trim configurations and will qualify for financing.  While the majority of our pre-builts are spoken for in advance, occasionally we'll have a completed airplane available with only inspection and test flight hours on her. 
    
3. Pristine Pre-Owned:  We don't get involved with older Challengers as many of them have been registered in the basic category, can't be re-classified, and therefore can't be used to carry passengers.  The most pristine and well-maintained Challengers never hit the airplane classifieds - they move very quickly and quietly by word of mouth amongst a very select few. 
   Often costing as much or more than a custom-built or pre-built kit, these are of a calibre equivalent to our own pre-builts, and as such are very few and far between.  Typically they have been assembled by the best of the  best as our builders go, and they are simply gorgeous.  ChallengerWest maintains a tight network amongst the best builders and pilots, and from time to time, typically via a collector pilot, an  estate situation, or an overseas transfer, we come across an extremely pristine Challenger which we acquire directly, and can make available to those on our waiting list.
