Challenger Winter
Rendezvous: Montebello, Quebec

For Challenger owners the runway, river, lake or field is a gateway
to an entire world of wonders non-owners can not even imagine.
Each January, typically but not always on the last weekend in
January, Challenger Owners don their skis and get together for a
winter fly-in. What started out as a casual brunch so many years
ago has grown into an annual mid-winter escape. For many of the past
20 years, the Challenger Winter Rendezvous has been held at the
infamous Fairmont Chateau Montebello. Located mid way between Ottawa and
Montreal on the northern shore of the Ottawa River, the Chateau
Montebello is the world's largest and most spectacular log cabin, and a
hotel that shines under the 5 stars put on her. She is known
around the globe for her facilities, food, rooms and ambiance. A favourite retreat for G8 Conferences and Challenger Owners alike, the
Chateau is, in a word, magnifique!

There is no better venue for a mid-winter escape from cabin fever. In
addition to the Challenger people and planes there's a plethora of ways
to enjoy yourself indoors (spa, fitness, swimming, tennis, squash) and
outdoors (skiing, snowshoeing, skating, dogsledding). All very stunning!
Each year, we love to get away and visit the Challenger Winter
rendezvous at the Montebello, and then post the details here, in this section of our web site.
